Exploration

and Empowerment

Community Workshop - Woodshop, Textile lab, Prototyping equipment, Digital fabrication and machine shop which are open 24 hours to members.

Fabrication Education Mentorship - 20+ volunteers with experience in fabrication. Volunteers educate and safety-check members for tool use and assist members with moving projects forward. 

Workshops / Classes - Ticketed sessions to give access to experiences and learning.

Public Meetups - Subject based meetups for the public to meet in various shared interest areas.

University Partnerships - Hosting University classes that integrate fabrication and community engagement.

VA Hospital Partnership - Hosting veterans' group who use woodshop for educational and therapeutic purposes.

First Robotics - High School competitive robotics team who use MakeHaven for robot building.

 

Business Incubation

Workspace Rental - Low cost, month-to-month rentable co-working spaces to help small ventures grow. 

Startup Coaching -  Volunteers trained by the Small Business Administration to assist startups to get off the ground and develop.

Prototype to Product Pipeline - Resources for anyone who wants to take an idea through prototyping and into production.

Educational Seminars - Sessions on intelectual property, marketing, packaging, design for manufacture and other topics for startups.

Networking Events - Activities that bring together the extended network of entrepreneurs, fabricators and supportive services.
